Anne's story
A young, 4-year old traveled to the United States from France by ship. She remembers many things from that journey, but one thing that she remembers most vividly is the moment when she saw the Statue of Liberty and other's cheering as they entered the port of the United States. Anne and her mother were sponsored by the Evangel United Methodist (EUM) church in Holton, KS. Anne lived the entirety of her life in Holton. She married Gary Watkins and together they had two beautiful children, whom she loved dearly. After Anne's mother passed away, she cherished every piece of memorabilia from France and the early 1900s that her mother left behind. Anne shared the history and stories of these items with Deb. Deb is delighted to carry-on her mother's love for vintage items in a shop named in honor of her mother, Anne Forrer.
